Rice with mushrooms |
Mushrooms are used
in traditional Chinese medicine for 2000 years due to their great nutritional
value in carbohydrates and proteins. These proteins provide all the basic amino
acids to our body and they are as good as animal proteins. Mushrooms are a good
source of A, B,D,P vitamins and minerals such as Copper and Potassium.
Mushrooms are low in calories, fat-free, cholesterol- free , hence they are ideal food for those who are on a
diet.
Ingredients:
- 2 glasses of rice.
- 1 glass of sliced fresh mushrooms.
- 2 tablespoons butter.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt
- Hot water
- 1 bouillon cube
Preparation:
Brew the rice in warm water
for at least thirty minutes. In a large nonstick skillet put olive oil and sauté
the mushrooms, add the rice, the salt and the bouillon cube. Pour hot a little
water into the mixture and bring it to boil. Season it with salt and pepper,
cover it, reduce heat and simmer until all the water is absorbed.
