crème caramel with Turkish coffee





Ingredients :


1 litre milk
6 eggs
1 glass of  powdered sugar
3 tablespoonful Turkish coffee
 

For the caramel :

1 glass of powdered sugar.
  

 Directions :


First make the caramel. Pour the powdered sugar in a stainless steel pan and stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar turns a dark copper colour. In another pan whisk the milk with the sugar and coffee until  they are well mixed. Gently heat the mixture and put the whisked eggs. When the caramel is ready distribute it porcelain oven safe bowls and let it warm. Pour the mixture over the caramel sauce into the bowls. Fill the half of a baking dish with cold water and put the bowls in it. Bake at 150 C for about 35 minutes.
